Edwards A. Park

Edwards Amasa Park (1808–1900) was a prominent American Congregationalist theologian and professor at Andover Theological Seminary who played a significant role in mediating between traditional Calvinist orthodoxy and emerging liberal theological currents during the nineteenth century. His scholarly work, including *The Indebtedness of the State to the Clergy*, engaged with questions of religious establishment, clerical authority, and the proper relationship between ecclesiastical and civil institutions during a period of rapid social and denominational change.
