Nehemiah Coxe

c.1650–1689
Nehemiah Coxe. Particular Baptist pastor at Petty France, London. Primary drafter (with William Collins) of the Second London Confession (1677/1689). His Discourse of the Covenants (1681) is the foundational text for credobaptist covenant theology, arguing that the Abrahamic covenant of circumcision was a distinct national covenant, not the covenant of grace.
